Recent weeks have thrown up some truly spectacular bream captures, and David Pritchard’s brace of upper doubles is no exception.
David fished an overnight session at a Hertfordshire syndicate water for a total of five bream topped by a colossal 16lb 8oz specimen.
The Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, technician, who also caught a 17lb 4oz carp employed small solid PVA bags packed with salmon crumb, and offered a small Tails Up Pro Fish boilie as a hookbait.
Another angler getting a slice of the action was Stoke-on-Trent’s Darren Chadwick with a 16lb 5oz specimen. He has been targeting a Staffordshire stillwater but the last two years have only produced single-figure fish. His winning tactics were maggot and groundbait fished at range to an area he had previous success from.
Tackle Fanatics stock a massive range of carp, specimen and coarse tackle to suit all budgets. To view our selections please click here.
